Requirements:                             

Minimum Education/Certification

Professional teaching certification; All-Level Certificate preferred

Master’s Degree, with emphasis in curriculum or program area highly desirable

Mid-management or principal certification preferred

 

Special Knowledge/Skills

General knowledge of all elementary and secondary curriculum areas

Specific knowledge of assigned content areas

Specific knowledge of assessment

Knowledge in the selection, training, and supervision of personnel

Ability to plan and conduct staff development

Excellent communication, public relations and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated organizational skills

Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency of working with computers and other types of technology

 

Minimum Experience

Five years of teaching experience in either elementary or secondary education.

 

Primary Purpose:

Serve as member of administrative support team for all elementary /secondary teachers. Provide individualized assistance and coaching to beginning teachers and provide  ongoing instructional and curricular support for all  teachers.
