Minimum Education/Certification:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree

Properly certified

            

 

Special-Knowledge/Skills:

Ability to work with children with disabilities

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

Ability to communicate effectively

Ability to maintain composure in high stress situations

Knowledge of general equipment

 

 

Minimum Experience:

At least one year working with children with disabilities

 

 

Primary Purpose:        

Provide students with learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.  Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society. Provide instruction to students for increasing appropriate social skills and adaptive/behavioral skills to make them more successful in the academic environment.
